Season 1 - Istanbul 2024

The first International Season of IIFF was hosted in June of 2024, at the Istanbul Medipol University in Kavacık, Istanbul. The season concluded on huge International success gathering over 1000+ submissions from over 96+ countries and showcasing the best of Global Cinema.

Best International Short Film - Suitcase

Far from his own homeland, he lives in his suitcase. In it he carries memories of his family. When someone steals the suitcase in the tumult of the foreign city center, he loses his home a second time.

Best National Short Film - Talish

A surreal psychological thriller about a very powerful businessman who is trapped in a shack in the middle of a desert. Will he be able to escape? Will he come to terms with his reality?

Best Documentary - I won't remain alone

A blind 86 years old man and his wife with chronic nerve disease live in poverty conditions. They got a devastating news about their son's brain death. The old fragile blind father, has to make a decision whether to donate his son’s healthy parts to help 16 other patients.

Best Director - The Boom Barrier

In a desert world lives a composer who is starving, sick and who seems to have lost everything in his life. He longs to get out of there, but the exit is blocked by an impregnable boom barrier.

Best Screenplay - Liyoutahirakoum

Aymen, decided to break the evidence, of death, and experience this mysterious subject by going through the Muslim practice of washing and shrouding a corpse. Will he be able to accept death after this sensation?
